On Wednesday 25 May, we celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime at Mary Immaculate Primary. This year's book is The Speedy Sloth, written by Australian author Rebecca Young and illustrated by Heath Mackenzie.
We gathered together in our class groups to listen to a reading of the book, with our youngest learners joining in with their senior buddies. They had such a great morning! We as a school community acknowledge the value of literacy and how important it is for our children to read (and love to read!) so this event was a great way to bring our community together to celebrate.
